(KMI2019)
First Circular (2018/11/09)

The Kobayashi-Maskawa Institute (KMI), Nagoya University will host the 4th KMI International Symposium on “Quest for the Origin of Particles and the Universe” (KMI2019) from February 18 through 20, 2019. The aim of the symposium is to review the status and prospect of the cutting-edge researches in relevant fields, and to develop the interdisciplinary researches to approach the mysteries of Dark Universe. One of the highlights of KMI2019 will be a session focused on mysteries of the matter-antimatter asymmetry in the Universe.

Note that KMI2019 will be followed by the 2nd KMI school dedicated for the similar topic, from February 21 through 23, 2019. Students and young researchers are encouraged to attend also the 2nd KMI school.

1. Date

From February 18 (Monday) through 20 (Wednesday), 2019

2.Conference venue

Conference will be held at ES Hall on the ground floor of ES Building at Nagoya University, Higashiyama campus.

3. Scientific program

The scientific program will consist of invited talks on recent theoretical and experimental achievements and future prospects in ;
– Particle physics at energy (LHC) and intensity frontier (SuperKEKB, J-PARC)
– Fundamental physics with neutrons
– High energy hadron physics at zero degree
– Quark gluon plasma
– Exotic hadrons
– Dark matter physics
– Astronomy with X-ray, radio-wave and gravitation wave
– Gravity & cosmology
– Dark energy
– String theory

KMI2019 program will also include a topical session focused on mysteries of the matter-antimatter asymmetry in the Universe.
We will also organize a poster session for those who want to present their own works.
