Decays of D mesons are promising area to search for physics beyond the Standard Model (SM). In 2007, evidence for D-Dbar mixing has been found. However, weather the observed mixing is due to the Kobayashi-Maskawa theory or due to new physics has yet to be determined. In contrast, the CP-violating effects in D-Dbar mixing or in D meson decays are predicted within the SM to be very small and the observation with the current experimental sensitivity would be a clear signal of new physics. I will discuss the experimental techniques used to measure D-Dbar mixing and to search for CP violation, show recent measurements and give some prospects for future.
