Emotions are often regarded as mare responses to given stimuli that we feel in our body. What if we know that how we feel matters because it not only affects the quality of our everyday lives but also predicts longevity?

It has been discovered that certain areas of our brain, such as limbic system and prefrontal cortex, are the executive centers for different types of emotions, which affect how we act and behave, even regulating our cognitive performance and immune functions.

In this special talk, I will introduce the key neural mechanism of emotions both positive and negative ones including stress response, addressing the effects on our health and the factors that enhance our psychological and physical well-being.
