KMI-GCOE Workshop on
"Strong Coupling Gauge Theories in the LHC Perspective (SCGT 12)"

December 4 (Tuesday) - December 7 (Friday), 2012

Kobayashi-Maskawa Institute for the Origin of Particles and the Universe (KMI)
Nagoya University, Nagoya, Japan

First Circular

The topics will be largely focused on the strong coupling gauge theories beyond the standard model as well as those in extreme conditions, particularly in view of the new phase of the LHC experiments and the conformal fixed point for the gauge/gravity. Main topics will include light composite scalar (techni-dilaton, little Higgs, and other SUSY/non-SUSY composite Higgs, etc.) to be identified with the 125 GeV boson observed at LHC. Nonperturbative studies like lattice simulations and stringy/holographic approaches will be discussed in close relation to the phenomenological studies. Also heavy ion experiments at LHC will be discussed in such nonperturbative approaches.

The workshop is the 8th of the Nagoya SCGT workshop series after SCGT 88, SCGT 90, SCGT 96, SCGT 02, SCGT 06, SCGT09 and SCGT12Mini, and is similar in spirit to the previous ones. See for details of some of them:
SCGT12Mini (http://www.kmi.nagoya-u.ac.jp/workshop/SCGT12Mini/)

SCGT 06 (http://www.eken.phys.nagoya-u.ac.jp/scgt06/)
