Abstract:

Dense nuclear matter is ubiquitous in nuclear physics as it is related to heavy ion collisions, nuclear structure, and neutron stars. In this presentation, we discuss our contemporary knowledge of the nuclear symmetry energyfrom selected theoretical calculations, nuclear structure measurements, and neutron star observations.
