KMI Experiment Seminar
"Forward Physics at the LHC with proton tagging"

June 23, 2014 (Mon) 15:00-
KMI Science Symposia (ES635)
Abstract:

We will describe the future QCD measurements at the LHC using proton tagging that will allow us to constrain further the proton structure, as well as photon exchange processes which lead to unprecedented sensitivities on anomalous couplings and extra-dimensions in the universe. We will finish the seminar by describing the hardware that could be installed in the CMS-TOTEM or ATLAS experiments to detect intact protons in the final state.
