{"id":944,"date":"2015-06-02T21:11:47","date_gmt":"2015-06-02T12:11:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kmi.nagoya-u.ac.jp\/eng\/seminar\/944\/"},"modified":"2015-06-02T21:11:47","modified_gmt":"2015-06-02T12:11:47","slug":"20150519_kodama","status":"publish","type":"seminar","link":"https:\/\/www.kmi.nagoya-u.ac.jp\/eng\/seminar\/944\/","title":{"rendered":"Non-linear dynamics of axion clouds around a rotating black hole and its observation by gravitational waves"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In these five years, we have continued the investigation of the dynamical evolution of\u00a0<span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">superradiantly unstable axion clouds around a Kerr black hole taking account of non-linear selfinteraction\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">of the axion field by a 3D relativistic numerical simulations. As a result, we have realized\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">repeated occurrence of bosenova collapse and superradiant growth of an axion cloud by numerical\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">simulations for the first time and clarified its features quantitatively. Further, on the basis of that, we\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">have calculated gravitational wave emissions from the axion cloud and pointed out that we can get\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">strong constraints on the mass and decay constant for string axions by the current and future\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">observations of gravitational waves from a black hole in a binary inside our Galaxy, such as the\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 1.62\">Cygnux X1, and the massive black hole at the Sagitarius A.
