{"id":853,"date":"2013-04-30T18:48:10","date_gmt":"2013-04-30T09:48:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kmi.nagoya-u.ac.jp\/eng\/seminar\/853\/"},"modified":"2013-04-30T18:48:10","modified_gmt":"2013-04-30T09:48:10","slug":"irfp_conformal_dynamics_in_many_flavor_lattice_qcd_in_the_light_of_thermal_chiral_phase_transition","status":"publish","type":"seminar","link":"https:\/\/www.kmi.nagoya-u.ac.jp\/eng\/seminar\/853\/","title":{"rendered":"IRFP conformal dynamics in many flavor lattice QCD in the light of thermal chiral phase transition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>Novel (pre-)conformal phase associated with the infra-red fixed point (IRFP) is anticipated&nbsp;<\/span><span>to emerge due to non-perturbative interactions in asymptotically free non-Abelian gauge theories&nbsp;<\/span><span>when the number of fermion species (N_f) exceeds a critical value (N_f = N_f*).&nbsp;<\/span><span>The pre-conformal dynamics has been advocated as a basis for strongly interacting mechanisms&nbsp;<\/span><span>of electroweak symmetry breaking (walking technicolor scenario).&nbsp;<\/span><span>Lattice Monte-Carlo simulations are now expected&nbsp;<\/span><span>to provide a solid theoretical base for this new class of strongly interacting gauge theories.&nbsp;<\/span><span>We first briefely review the general motivation to considering the IRFP (pre-) conformality.&nbsp;<\/span><span>Then, we particularly investigate the IRFP conformality in colour SU(N_c=3) gauge theory&nbsp;<\/span><span>with a variable number N_f of fundamental fermions by using lattice Monte-Carlo simulations.&nbsp;<\/span><span>We evaluate the thermal chiral phase transition as a function of N_f,&nbsp;<\/span><span>and propose three independent estimates of N_f*, which are consistent to each other within error-bars.&nbsp;<\/span><span>This strongly indicates the existance of the conformal phase in large N_f region.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","tags":[],"seminar_category":[53],"acf":{"s_now_accepting":true,"s_date_order":"2013-04-25 17:00:00","s_date_end":null,"s_date_text":"","s_text":"Kohtaroh Miura","s_place":"KMI Science Symposia (ES635)","s_place_other":"","s_categoryother":"","s_poster":"<form mt:asset-id=\"302\" class=\"mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-file\" style=\"display: inline;\"><a href=\"\/eng\/seminar\/20130425_Miura.pdf\">20130425_Miura.pdf<\/a><\/form>","s_poster2":"<form mt:asset-id=\"258\" class=\"mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-image\" style=\"display: inline;\"><a href=\"\/eng\/seminar\/right_dummy1.jpg\">\u8868\u793a<\/a><\/form>","s_slide":"<form mt:asset-id=\"336\" class=\"mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-file\" style=\"display: inline;\"><a href=\"\/eng\/seminar\/files\/20130425_Miura.pdf\">20130425_Miura.pdf<\/a><\/form>"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.5 -
