{"id":825,"date":"2012-07-25T15:08:17","date_gmt":"2012-07-25T06:08:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kmi.nagoya-u.ac.jp\/eng\/seminar\/825\/"},"modified":"2012-07-25T15:08:17","modified_gmt":"2012-07-25T06:08:17","slug":"heavy_hadron_axial_couplings_from_lattice_qcd","status":"publish","type":"seminar","link":"https:\/\/www.kmi.nagoya-u.ac.jp\/eng\/seminar\/825\/","title":{"rendered":"Heavy hadron axial couplings from lattice QCD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">The LHC will reinvigorate physics of the b-hadrons&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">with a large amount of experimental data, in particular for the single-b&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">baryons.&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">To make use of these data in flavour physics and CKM-related topics,&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">it is essential to have good control of the non-perturbative QCD effects.&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">In this talk, I present a recent determination of the axial couplings&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">amongst single-b hadrons and pions.&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">This calculation was performed using next-to-leading order chiral&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">perturbation theory&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">and lattice QCD at pion masses between 227 MeV and 352 MeV with 2+1&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">flavours of dynamical fermions.&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">These couplings are important quantities for controlling chiral&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">extrapolations&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">for all lattice computations of b-hadron spectrum and matrix elements.&nbsp;<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">They can also be used to predict decay widths of these heavy hadrons.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","tags":[],"seminar_category":[53],"acf":{"s_now_accepting":true,"s_date_order":"2012-07-23 17:00:00","s_date_end":null,"s_date_text":"","s_text":"David Lin","s_place":"KMI Science Symposia (ES635)","s_place_other":"","s_categoryother":"","s_poster":"<form mt:asset-id=\"185\" class=\"mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-file\" style=\"display: inline;\"><a href=\"\/eng\/seminar\/seminar-David_Lin.pdf\">seminar-David_Lin.pdf<\/a><\/form>","s_poster2":"","s_slide":"<form mt:asset-id=\"189\" class=\"mt-enclosure mt-enclosure-file\" style=\"display: inline;\"><a href=\"\/eng\/seminar\/dlin_talk.pdf\">dlin_talk.pdf<\/a><\/form>"},"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v23.5 -
