We introduce two scenarios leading to<br \/>\nMajorana or Dirac<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"left\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">neutrinos, based on non-abelian discrete symmetries of the form <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">G<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">f <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">= <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">X <\/span><span>\u00d7 <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Z<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">N<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">. The flavour symnmetry is broken to <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Z<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">2 <\/span><span>\u00d7<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Z<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">2 <\/span><span>\u00d7<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Z<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">N <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">in the<br \/>\nelementary sector and to <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Z<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">(<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">D<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">)<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> N <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">in the composite<br \/>\nsector, with <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Z<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">(<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">D<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">)<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> N <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">being the<br \/>\ndiagonal subgroup of a<\/span> <\/p>\n<p class=\"MsoNormal\" style=\"text-align: left\" align=\"left\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Z<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">N <\/span><span>\u2282 <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">X <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">and the external<br \/>\n<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">Z<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">N<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">. The<br \/>\nsmallness of neutrino masses is naturally explainedand normal\/inverted mass<br \/>\nordering can be accommodated. By choosing X <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">= <\/span><span>\u0394<span lang=\"EN-US\">(96) or <\/span>\u0394<span lang=\"EN-US\">(384), a non-vanishing <\/span><\/span><span>\u03b8<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">13 <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">of order 0.1 is<br \/>\nnaturally obtained.
