Starting from the fiscal year 2018, KMI gives a warm welcome to Prof. Makoto Kobayashi as the new Director General of the institute. Succeeding the position after Prof. Toshihide Maskawa, Prof. Kobayashi is the second Director General of KMI since its establishment.
