Title :   A phenomenological approach to interacting vacuum in cosmology:a progress report

Abstract :
In this talk I will first describe a specific class of models for the
interaction of dark matter and dark energy. The dark energy component is a
w=-1 fluid representing vacuum, but due to the interaction with dark matter
this doesn’t correspond to a cosmological constant, i.e. it evolves in
space and time, modifying the background and the perturbations.
Nonetheless, for a specific subclass of  interactions the dark matter is
geodesics, as in LCDM.  Rather than focusing on a specific model, in the
second part of the talk I will descrive recent work where we try to
reconstruct the evolution in time of the  interaction using current
cosmological data, drawing some conclusions.
