Press release: CERN experiments observe particle consistent with long-sought Higgs boson

ATLAS and CMS collaborations presented their preliminary results on the search for the Higgs particle. Both experiments observed a new particle of the mass of 125-126 GeV consistent with the Higgs particle. Determination of the precise nature of this particle would be an important next step for understanding mysteries of our universe.
